Mixes

One of the secrets to my laziness is that many of my recipes are variations on a theme, with many ingredients in common and just a few special ones that make each unique. That way, I can make up batches of "mixes" to have on hand so the actual cooking is greatly simplified. I think this comes from being a computer programmer: I use subroutines when I cook! (Just as long as I don't start cooking recursively . . .) Recipes elsewhere (which may aren't posted yet) will use these mixes.
