The Kids' Story
Once
upon a time, in the lovely land of Field in Spring, there was a lady
who loved cats, especially long-haired cats, especially Maine Coon
cats, and she had her own notions on how to breed them. Well,
they bred and they bred and before long she had a lot more cats than
she could take care.
While the lady is no longer with us, her cats are. There were some 20 - 40 Maine Coon mixes, friendly ones, shy ones and some ferals.
Fortunately, a whole bunch of Fairy Godmothers from WAG and West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue
and others arrived. While they were still deciding
what they were going to do, a cats gave birth. She was
malnourished, sick, and too wild to handle. What to do with the
kittens?
Jill, the Wonderful Witch of WAG, knew the
Can't-Say-No-To-Kittens Fairy, Lisa of Wahl, would drop everything on a
Sunday afternoon and swoop down to carry off the kittens to her home in
the Magical Mobile Village, and just happened to have on hand all the
bottles and Kitten Milk needed to feed newborn babies every 2 hours,
and no desire to sleep more than two hours at a stretch.
Lisa of Wahl, also being a WAG volunteer with a love of coming up with trivia, such as the most common names
seen at WAG, had come up with names for the kittens that she hadn't
heard for kittens before. Hence they became Cuthbert and Agatha.
And then they met Cougar.
